Hello, I’m Kristin.

I am a Midwest photographer based in Northern Michigan and I adore capturing the beauty of life’s fleeting moments on digital + film. I am a devoted wife, a mother of two littles, and an artist that is endlessly inspired by nature and the cosmos. My family and I love to sit in our garden and slowly enjoy the day, visit our local creamery for an ice cream scoop, and paddle around in our kayaks exploring the outdoors.

I grew up in upstate NY, and spent every summer with my grandparents at their lake house on the Great Sacandaga Lake in the Adirondacks. In the sunroom there, the wall is completely filled with an endless sea of collage picture frames, displaying wholesome moments from years gone by. The nostalgia of that room can hold you still in your heart there for hours, reveling in the magic of memories.

Recognizing the extraordinary potential that exists in a candid photograph, I became inspired to collect moments in an intentional, artful way. Photos carry time in a capsule—an emotional resonance—holding this tremendous power to transport us back in time to feel deeply. Especially when we are seeking the face or essence of a loved one who is gone, or perhaps the sincere joy of an incredible celebration. I truly believe every moment is inherently beautiful—from the small quiet moments to the grand opulent milestones—all worthy of artful & intentional documentation as they are.

I aim to create a genuine, joy filled connection for you within your photos, so that you may relive the amazing feeling of each precious memory as it was when it happened, maybe even better than you remembered. I approach every wedding and session with the future you in mind—that you will cherish your photos as heirlooms and share the magic of these memories with future generations to come.

say hello

My father began his photography journey in his home country of England at 12 years old, developing all of his film himself in his homemade darkroom. He inspired me to start shooting film by sharing his passion for the medium, teaching me the basics, and gifting me his Nikon FE2. For me, film is pure magic and fills my artistic soul like no other medium has. Receiving my final scans and viewing the elegant way in which light and shadow, color, and emotion filled moments render on film is one delight of life I simply will never tire of. I currently shoot a mixture of medium format and 35mm film alongside digital in all of my work. I hope to share this love I have for the beauty of film with you, too, by archiving special moments of your life for you to cherish forever.
